This website looks best in a standards compliant browser such as Safari, Firefox and Opera. If you are using Internet Explorer, you still can access all of the content, but the user experience will suffer dramatically.

In other words: I don't want to have stupid IE tricks that are not CSS compliant, *and* I don't want to work on those.

May the force be with me: Piece Wars (a new hope)

Monday monday, the update day! I don't know how much time I spent so far, propably 5 or 6 hours, taking pictures after each step in the manual (hum, I hope it'll give something nice to watch in the end...). So, here's the construction so far, on page 75 of the manual (i.e. 1/4 of it....).

(too bad I don't have a super-awesome reflex camera, the picture would have been better...)

It does not look like a falcon yet, but look closer and behold! you can see the landing gears! Which is my first disappointment: they are fixed and won't move inside the hull. Damn, I hope at least the reactors will work so that thing can fly!

May the force be with me

For the curious, some pictures of the box and the 300p. manual are at techeblog.com. I brought back only the small plastic bags, and spent 3h. opening them and sort the pieces on the table of my livinglego room. Here's the result, 5195 pieces:

I started the building, may the force be with me!!! I'll update the status regularly (well, at least it's something to tell on my blog for a month!).
